Departmental Activities Research  & Academic

The department is involved in research work. Many scientific papers have been published in reputed international and national journals by the faculty & resident doctors.

 

Journal Clubs & Seminars are held weekly.

 

Post Graduate Training Programme

 

1.          Post Graduation (Degree & Diploma) in the specialty of      

             Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy is offered.

2.         Duration: 3 yrs (Degree), 2 yrs Diploma

3.         Eligibility: M.B.B.S. (4 ½ Years) + 1 Year internship.

4.         Selection: Entrance  examination conducted by the Delhi

            University

5.         No. of Seats: 3 MD & 1 DVD Per Year.

6.         Session starts in the month of June - July

 

 

Senior Residency Programme:

 

The department also offers a teaching and research oriented 3 years Senior Residency Programme to the residents with postgraduate qualification in specialty.  Selection is through application and interview.

  1. Association of clinico histopathologic and dermoscopic findings in pigmented purpuric dermatoses
  2. Clinical profile of infantile hemangioma and its response to propranolol therapy
  3. A study of clinico-epidemiological profile and co-morbidities associated with Bullous Pemphigoid

  1. Percentage of patch test positivity of allergen spectrum causing occupational contact dermatitis among construction workers
  2. A comparison of topical corticosteroids versus topical tacrolimus with microneedling in alopecia areata
  3. The dermoscopic features of topical steroid damaged face and it’s histopathological correlation: A cross sectional study
  4. Pattern of distribution of hla alleles in cases of cutaneous adverse drug reactions
  5. Profile of cutaneous bacterial infection and antibiotic sensitivity pattern in patients with pemphigus
  6. Clinicoepidemiological profile of syphilis in a tertiary care centre
