150 Bedded Orthopaedic Ward which includes

Special Clinics

  • Arthroscopy & Sports Injury Clinic - Wednesday 2 PM - 4 PM. In-Charge: Prof. Vinod Kumar

Operation Theatre (OT)

  • Three major and one minor routine OT, including one laminar airflow OT for Joint Replacement surgeries. All OTs are well equipped for all kind of orthopaedic surgery. One 3-D image intensifier and two 2-D image intensifier are available.
  • Emergency OT

Surgical Facilities Available

  • Hand & Upper limb Surgery: Nerve exploration & repair, tendon repair, tendon transfers, reconstruction in brachial plexus injury and VIC, carpal tunnel release, policization, syndactyly, polydactyly, carpal disorders.
  • Replacement Surgery: Total hip replacement, total knee replacement, surface replacement, unicondylar knee replacement, shoulder & elbow replacement, radial head replacement, small joint replacement in hand.
  • Arthoscopy and Joint Reconstruction: Meniscal injury, loose body removal, ACL reconsruction-single & double bundle, PCL reconstruction, multi-ligament injury of knee, mosiacplasty and microfracture in cartilage defects, stiff shoulder release, Bankart's repair, rotator cuff repair, subacromial decompression, arthsoscopy of elbow, wrist, ankle and hip, surgical disclocation of hip, acromioclavicular joint injury.
  • Spine: Pedicle screw fixation, extended fenestration for LCS, pedicle substraction osteotomy, cervical spine decompression and fixation, trans-thoracic and anterilateral decompression of Pott's spine, spondylolisthesis correction & fusion, occipotocervical fusion.
  • Trauma: All kind of simple & complex fractures of upper & lower limbs, pelvic fracture, spinal injuries, open fractures, vascular injuries, nonunions and malinions, broken nail removal.
  • Deformity Correction: Congenital deformities e.g. CTEV, deformities associated with cerebral palsy & post polio residual paralysis, angular and roatational deformities of limbs with extensive use of lllizarov's ring fixators.

Recent Adavancements

  • Vascularized bone grafting for Keinbock's disease, double bundle ACL reconstruction, single bundle augmentation in partial ACL tear, mosaicplasty, pedicle Substraction osteotomy, surgical dislocation of hip.
