Lok Nayak Hospital 
The Department of Obestrics and Gynaecology offers comprehensive care in women health care. It caters to about one lakh patients annually and is amongst the busiest departments in the concerned field in Delhi. The annual number of deliveries and major and surgeries conducted are around 8000 and 9000 respectively. The department is equipped with state of the art equipments, operation theatres and labour ward.
IVF centre was established in our hospital and it is the first IVF centre is any Delhi government hospital. Gynae encorinology OPD is another new addition to the department. National Oncology workshop was conducted in February 2008 under the aegis of GOGSI. Stree shakti camps are organized at regular intervals where women from ecnomically backward areas get an aoppurtunity for gynaecological examination and antenatal care.
The department conducts a Practical Course and Continuing Medical Education Programme annually. Postgraduates and junior doctors from all over the country attend the course with great enthusiasm. The faculty conducts colposcopy workshops periodically. Our faculty is a part of the team cn\onductiong the Fellowship in HIV Medicine for doctors, a one-year course. Every year a book on a theme topic Obstetrics and Gynaecology is published by the faculty. Apart from regular undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, regular classes are being conducted for PGDMCH programme, IGNOU.
