- Clinical specimens obtained from patients attending OPD and indoor patients are received, processed and reported.
EMERGENCY MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY, LOK NAYAK HOSPITAL, 24 HOURS SERVICES.
Clinical specimens from the Casualty Department and OPD are received, processed and reported.

- The following facilities are available for diagnosis of infectious diseases due to Bacteria (including T.B.), Fungi, Parasites and Viruses.
- Direct Microscopy
- Culture of CSF, Pus, Blood, Body fluids, Urine, Stool, Etc.
- Antibiotic susceptibility testing of Pathogenic bacteria
- Serological tests for
- Bacteria infections (Typhoid, Syphillis etc.)
- Viral infections (Dengue, Hepatitis, Rubella, CMV, Herpes etc.)
- Parasitic infections (Toxoplasma etc.)
- Rapid tests for detection of Cryptococcus, Malaria.

Peripheral Smear(GIEMSA STAIN)
For Malaria and Microfilaria.
Culture and Sensitivity(BACTERIAL)
For CSF, Blood, Pus, Swabs, Throat Swab, Urine Stool, Body fluid, and Aspitates.
