Lok Nayak Hospital 
Chest (TB) Clinic provides the following service to the general public.
Diagnostic facilities
The diagnostic facilities are provided to the general public who visit the Chest Clinic OPD as either walk in patients or those referred from other departments of the hospital/other hosipitals.
A designated Microscopy Centre (DMC) is located within its premises to provide sputum microscopy.All investigation facilities for diagnosis of extra-pulmonary TB are available in hospital. BACTEC for rapid diagonsis is available for MDR suspects.
Treatment Facilities
Treatment under DOTS (Directly Observed Therapy Short Course) protocol is given to all the diagnosed patients who live within the area of Lok Nayak Hosipital Chest Clinic. The treatment is provided for both Pulmonary and Extra pulmonary Tuberculosis as per the WHO guidelines.The treatment is available at DOTS centers under LN chest clinic which caters to a population of 5 lacs.
Referral Services
All the diagnosed patients who do not reside within the Lok Nayak Hosipital Chest Clinic area are referred to the respective Area Chest Clinics/DOTS Centre for the treatment and a feedback from the referred centres is also received.
MDR Services - (DOTS Plus)
Admission facility is available for MDR - TB patients under DOTS Plus (DOTS Plus site) Category IV treatment under RNTCP protocol is provided.
HIV-TB Cordination
TB-HIV linkage has been established in the hosipital. Patients who are HIV+ & develop TB are routed through chest clinic for ATT. Similarly TB patients who are HIV suspects are evaluated for HIV at VCTC located in Room No.55 OPD Block.
