It focuses on providing nutritious/balanced/palatable meals and nutritional support to patients, often in accordance with specific medical needs or dietary restrictions (therapeutic diets) as per the patient's medical condition. The importance of nutrition/diet serves as an essential component of good medical management in almost all the diseases.

Dietary department does planning in preventing chronic ailments, maintaining and promoting good health life patients leads to minimizing the patient stay in the hospital. Department also supervises, the entire process of food preparation and requirements in coordination with the treating doctors of indoor patients of the hospital Department promote kitchen hygiene and cleanliness as per the parameters set by FSSAI, Kayakalp, NQAS standards.
