Services offered and Departmental Achievements

Treatment Services:

Department has fully equipped outpatient department which offers treatment services in the field of Dermatology, STD and Leprosy.

• Separate outpatient clinics function daily for Skin patients which caters to an average 1000-1500 patients per day.
• Cases of leprosy and STD are also seen daily.
• Minor OT services are also available daily, which include electric & chemical cautery, intralesional injections and skin biopsy etc. The department has in patient care facilities.
• Two wards (separate for males, females and children) with a total strength of 41 beds exist.
• It also runs a full- fledged operational theatre twice a week where in different minor and major dermatological surgeries (including mini punch grafting for vitiligo, excision of growths, nerve biopsies, nail surgeries, cryosurgery etc.) are being carried out, PRP, Botulinum for hyperhydrosis.
• Biological drugs are given to patients of immunobullous disorders and connective tissue disorders whenever indicated.

• The department has a fully equipped seminar cum teaching hall with state of the art audio-visual facility.
•  Computer facility equipped with multimedia and scanner is available.
• Departmental Library, with latest books on Skin, STD & Leprosy is available.
• Side Lab facility is available in ward  and attended from OPD for  Microscope, Dark Ground Microscope and – Routine  Microscope, Centrifuge
