Activities of the Department

• Entertain all cases related to male sexual dysfunction, male infertility daily from 9 am to 4 pm except on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
• As per the order by the Government of India. Clients undergoing Non Scalpel Vasectomy operation are entitled for 6(six) days of special casual leave.
• Government servants having two or less children are entitled to get 1 special increment from the day of the Non Scalpel Vasectomy operatons
• Rupees 310  {110 - paid to NSV clients + 200 - paid to motivator} is given per Non Scalpel Vasectomy operation.
• Non Scalpel Vasectomy training courses are also organized by the department from time to time for the doctors working under govt. of National Capital Territory and also under Government of India
• Faculty training courses are organized in the department for the faculty member of different Medical colleges
• Currently two research project are being carried out in the department of male family welfare. The project are related to inject able male contraceptive (RISUG) which is indigenous in origin invented by Professor S.K. Gupta, I.I.T Khargpur. This clinical trial has been carried out in this centre since 1990 from phase I Phase II, extended phase II and phase III till date.

Project I :- This clinical trial "Long term comparative retrospective study of RISUG injection and vasectomies (NSV) subjects."

Project II :- The Phase III clinical trial is being carried out w.e.f August 2007. 25 subjects already have been inducted since then. This project is going in Four (4) centers and going to be extended to other Six () centers through out the country. Dr. H.C. Das Additional M.S. and I/C Family Welfare (M), LNH is the national trainer for phase III clinical trail

Very Soon two more projects related to RISUG namely reversibly trial and drug delivery trial would go simultaneously.
