The Principal directs the educational and non teaching staff of the college in conducting programme in coordination with the Vice - Principal.

Duties Task & Responsiblities:

  1. Financial :
    • Plans and revise short term and long term budget for the college.
    • Acts as drawing and disbursing officer.
    • Monitors all college expenditure
  2. Educational :
    • Monitors educational programmes of the college.
      1. Coordinates with Vice Principal plans, implements and evaluate the programmes.
      2. Implementation and evaluation of continuing educational programmes.
    • Identifies professional development needs of faculty members and facilities staff development programme in coordination with the heads of departments / coordinators.
    • Acts as :
      1. Chairman of committee of course, college council and staff body.
      2. Member of academic council,science faculty etc.
      3. Examination cuperintendent for B.Sc. (Hons) nursing
  3. Supervisory : Responsible for supervision of all personnel teaching and non-Teaching.
    • Coordinate and collaborates with Vice Princial in preparing academic staff assignment.
    • Plans staff assignment in consultation with Vice Principal and administrative staff.
    • Facilitates orientation of new employees to the job reponsibilities and other official procedures.
    • Writes senior staff performance reports and reviews the confidential reports of staff.
    • Monitors student welfare activities (eg. Mess, Hostel, Health, Sports, SNA etc.)
    • Facilitates administration of college library.
    • Monitors all leave privileges of the faculty.
  4. Human Relation and communication.
    • Informs :
      1. Staff on matters related to educational programme conducted at the college.
      2. Staff on matters related to personal and work policies.
    • Identifies conflict among staff members and initiates solution.
    • Informs students on changes in college policies, procedures and standards.
    • Facilitates student and staff guidance services.
    • Informs students about student status and reviews reports of student performance.
    • Facilitates communication interpersonal relationship both inter and intra departmental and with other institution at state, national and international level.
