As Directed by the Dean Maulana Azad Medical College for commisioing the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Prof Naresh Kumar, Department of Pulmonary Medicine submitted the proposal. Following Decisions have been made :-

1. Regarding indoor patients, 6 beds (numbered 20 to 25) and existing 10 beds of MDR-TB in ward 26, and 8 beds of respiratory intensive care unit (RICU) including its duty room (ward 25) are alloted to the department. Thus, the department of Pulmonary Medicine shall consists of 24 beds for the time being. For outdoor patients department, the already running chest clinic on Friday at 2.00 PM in room no. 17 in OPD complex shall continue tille a new arrangement in the new OPD building for morning OPD is started. The respiratory laboratory along with its working manpower is attached to the Department of Pulmonary Medicine. The seminar room adjoining the ward 26 is allocated for the teaching purpose to the said department. For the sitting arrangement of two faculty members, Room Nos. 7 and 8 in New Medical Block are given to Pulmonary Medicine. This arrangement shall remain till a new proposal in BL Taneja Block/any other space is finalised
2. Medical officers and junior residents shall be provided to the department of Pulmonary Medicine on the basis of need and availability from time to time. The official activities of the department of Pulmonary Medicine shall operate from Respiratory laboratory till an alternative space is allocated.
3. The posts of sanctioned faculty and senior residents are to be filled by the administration of Maulana Azad Medical College. Also the clerical and other supporting staff shall be provided by the administration of Maulana Azad Medical College.
